SC-STANDARDS
The aim is to promote the development and application of feasible and useful Smart City indicators through the standardisation of principles and processes for project- and city-specific indicator system development.
A thorough in-depth analysis of the contents of the relevant standards currently under discussion and of the relevant options for a harmonised European standard is expected to give fresh impetus to, and support, the standardisation of Smart City indicators.
An extended advisory board shall enable a national communication process through which the contents of standards established for the purpose of supporting sustainable urban management are guaranteed, along with their practical application and feasibility.
Smart City indicators will be based on results obtained through the SED project ‘Smart City PROFILES’ and at the workshop on indicators during the Smart Cities WEEK 2013 in Vienna. They will take account of currently relevant international indicator and evaluation systems.
Options and process modules will be developed for both a national and an international standardisation process.
