Smart Urban Industry Weiz
Urbane Industry as integrative part of an intelligent and linked urban mobility and energy system
The project Smart Urban Industry focusses on the integrative networking of existing / new industrial spaces with the surrounding urban area considering the energy-related, spatial and mobility-related perspective. The development of optimization approaches for the existing energy and mobility systems within the city of Weiz is based on an innovative participation process including all relevant actors. In the end of the project measures should be elaborated that consider
(1) the ressource-efficient development of a new industrial area
(2) the development of smart mobility concepts, and
(3) the system-wide energy exchange (in particular the expansion of the district heating system).
These measures should be implemented within a subsequent demonstration project.
