The project „Smart Village Regau“ implements a Testbed in a comprehensive and systematic approach in form of a smart and flexible housing estate in Regau which is part of the continually growing conurbation of Vöcklabruck. The Tesdbed is centrally integrated in further development of the energy region Vöckla-Ager. This energy region is confronted with new living space developments due to influx and a continually growing population on the settlement axes between Vöcklabruck and Attnang-Puchheim. The Living Lab is part of the project with about 170 residents and serves as a showcase for the realisation of new intelligent settlements in suburban living and agglomeration areas including all relevant actors and Stakeholders (energy suppliers, housing cooperatives, building services, community, science, architectural office, ICT companies, leader region). The focus lies on a Testbed of smart products, systems and services, which makes it easier to integrate further projects.
