Battery Storage System to increase the local use of renewable Energy at Feldbach
For the project FeldBatt a single battery storage system for several prosumers is considered, with one major service being the provision of the means to maximise the local own energy consumption of PV and small hydropower generation. The problem regarding the use of one single storage capacity for that specific task, is the necessity to pay grid tariffs for the energy stored into and taken from the battery. To ensure economic feasibility, the transport of electrical energy between prosumers and battery needs to be done via direct lines.
The project FeldBatt will focus on the following goals: - Increase of own consumption of local renewable generation up to 100 % - Reduction of electricity costs for the involved prosumers of at least 10 % - Ensure economic feasibility of the battery storage by the definition of additional services - Ensure the supply of critical infrastructure for 1-3 days by using the storage capacities, direct lines and renewable energy generators. - Development of c
